The applications are in and preparation for Fast Company SA’s inaugural Most Innovative Companies event is in full swing. The process of sorting through and selecting entrants and nominees has highlighted the incredible entrepreneurial spirit in South Africa, and alluded to just how necessary and much-needed this platform is for both budding and established innovators alike.
The conference will bring together the most innovative companies and individuals in South Africa under one roof, to map out how innovation can enable South Africa to achieve its National Development Goals as outlined in the National Development Plan (NDP) 2030. The conference will serve as a platform for companies to share how their innovative solutions can enable the country to achieve its goals.
The awards gala will celebrate the cream of the crop of companies innovating across a range of sectors, and all nominations were welcome. The nomination process was held over a 3-week period where we saw educational technology start-ups, insurance companies, waste management solutions and more – all with an impressive never-been-done-before concept.
The judges are in for much deliberation and we are eager to see who will be announced as winners on the night. Awards will be handed out at the MIC event taking place on 5 March 2020 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. See below for the full list of nominees, in no particular order:
